Setting off to genting
We are doing last minute preparation for our genting trip later. Checking if there's any stuffs that we left out. It seems that my gf bag is super filled and of course the things that she bring is about twice of mine. All those night cream, skin cream etc... there are just too many stuffs that a lady has to apply in order to look pretty. See they are sacrificing so much for us guys, so better cherish them like i do. (only to crystal of course).
The prawns got a new home!!!! Just look at the effort i took to give them a better living habitat. More space to move around compared to the small basin. By placing them in a tank, i could actually see how exactly prawn eat and how they clean their head with their little feeding hands. Maybe when i'm back from genting, i will try to count how many legs does a prawn have. haha

My New Pet
Yesterday night after a impromptu nap that last from 6pm to 9pm that made us so wide awake, we decided to visit our favorite night spot, the PRAWNING farm!!! After a light supper at the teow chew porridge store near my house, we head on down to sin ming ave for prawning.I was considered lucky as the moment i drop my bait into the pond, immediately there's biting! Applying my own prawning technique, I managed to catch it! Seems like a good start to my prawning trip. But after an hour, the catch became lesser, probably because we are either starting to feel tired from prolong monitoring of the bait(whether it sink or not) or we drop our bait at the wrong spot.
Although the catch wasn't that much as compared to the previous outing, i managed to catch 2 big prawn, 1 with big pincer that "kiap" my finger when i was attempting to remove the hook. However the prawn fought well with his "kiap kiap" and deter me from removing the hook. Then this kind uncle working in the farm came over and save us from our battle with the pincers lol. Not only that, i brought home one new skill, that uncle thought me how to properly handle those prawns with big pincer by grab the centre of the prawn legs with thumb and middle finger. Yeah next time we can forget about bringing scissors to prawning.
We kept reminding each other that we have eaten quite a bit of seafood recently and the calories are just too high. And since we caught 2 big prawn and a handful of small ones, we decided to freeze those "smallies" and breed the 2 big mama. It was my idea though to breed them as i have completely no idea how long they will survive in anti-chloride water when they are supposed to be freshwater prawns haha.. No proper tank to give them a nice accomodation but a rather big basin for the 2 pals to live together. Not forgetting oxygen pump as well. They have successfully stayed alive for almost 24hrs till now. Their menu for today is "chicken thigh", although i know deep down inside they would prefer "si hum"(cockles), but that is too smelly and i din have a chance to visit the supermart today. Just too bad for them. Might be planning to get a decent tank to house them if they can survive for say another few days. I iterally sat by the basin and drop those small bite size chicken. It's so AMAZING to see how prawn eat. For those who never have a chance, i dun mind opening my hse to the public for viewing. Really hope that they could survive well. Will try to find out more about the desire breeding habitat. Will post the pictures soon if possible so do stay tuned!
Friday is the day we set off to genting and gosh i haven really packed anything yet. Maybe tomorrow after my interview @ SGH for some temp position. Hopefully i can get the job :) wish me luck. That's all for now

The end of exams and start of real life
Finally had time to sit down and blog. Been really enjoying myself for the past couple of days. But, that soccer event on friday got my toe to bleed, had a bloody damn bad sun burn on my face and shoulder... Yes yes the red lobster/tomato is back again. I guess i just couldn't get dark easily and the after effect... I'm behaving like what snakes do, shedding.... It was fun though probably due to the fact that i haven been playing some team sports for a while.
Went prawning just now with dear.... haha but wasn't a good catch, manage to only catch ard 10 odd prawns. Anyway the prawn seems to be smaller size now compared to the last time we went. We enquire abt the operating hours and guess what!!! It's 24 hrs... For those who stay in the north side, there's another night spot to head too.
And Yeah tomorrow heading down to @sun-rice for their culinary school open house to accompany dear to check out her possible new career. Future chef's couple in the making.. Oh wait did i say chef couple? If u dun happen to see me next semester in NTU, you should know where i'm.
Night outing @ Forbidden City - INDOCHINE Clarke QuayThis is where we are the day our exams ended. We had a mini class gathering at Fish & Co Bugis before heading for the real thing - chilling out. It seems to be the first time i went chilling out with my NTU pals and that could have well explained for our 1hrs searching time to finally settle down at Forbidden City. Drinks was minimum i guess on the night. Open a bottle of voldka for 9 pax, wasn't that satisfying but some due to the lack of due luck on that day, managed to get tipsy and sputter nonsense lol... Overall, it was quite an interesting event - not forgeting those quirky questions answered.
